What we need to evaluate a terrain project.
The pilot begins with a real decision question and suitable geospatial data.
Coordinate reference information
The DEM must have a defined coordinate reference system so distances, slopes and derived terrain measures can be interpreted correctly.
Study-area context
Participants should describe the location, project type and the real decision or question they want the terrain assessment to support.
Reference data when available
Independent DEMs or trusted reference products are helpful for validation but are not required for every pilot.
